Latin name: Melanogrammus Aeglefinus

Haddock belongs to the family of cod, whiting, pollack, saithe and blue whiting as the best known species. A striking feature of the view of haddock is a black spot on both flanks at the bottom of the sidelines and behind the gills.

The fish meat is slightly softer than that of cod, but very tasty and it is also suitable for all preparations.
